Susan Vincent Bright-Hopes
Design

I am a Professional Textile Artist based in Newark Nottinghamshire graduated from London Metropolitan University in 2016 with a degree in Textiles from the University of the Arts at Chelsea in 2019 with an MA in Textiles before moving to Lincolnshire where my practice is now based.

I work with digital and handmade processes and use repetitive motives and images to explore specific themes with textiles. I choose materials carefully to ensure my work is sustainable following circular design principles.

Being a fine textile artist my work crosses boundaries to question the viewer's appreciation of the meaning of textiles. I enjoy the versatility of working with cloth as a material and its endless possibilities that can take the work in an unknown direction, and the effects of the material and texture when translated and understood. As a professional artist and designer trained in different therapeutic modalities, I am interested in well-being in the arts and delivering healing to various audiences.

Since embarking on fine art training, my work has taken a different direction. I  am developing my brand using screen-prints and digital processes to create products on e-commerce and through shops.

I have exhibited in the past and am open to working collaboratively with other artists.
If you are interested contact me through my web page directly to discuss further.
